AWEA challenged us to:



  1. Develop a campaign theme & integrate it into the look/feel of WINDPOWER

  2. Engage the community—onsite & beyond

  3. Streamline the registration process for 20,000+ attendees

Immersa created the event theme of "WIND WORKS," which became a national marketing campaign for AWEA. Some of the community engagement strategies include:
  • Picture It! Photo Booth

    : Digital photos of event attendees were printed & mounted on giant 3D letters spelling WINDWORKS.
  • "Air Your Thoughts" Flip Camera Booths

    : Reporters conducted attendee interviews explaining why "Wind Works for Me."
  • Interactive Google Maps Mash-up

    : Plasma screens featured Google Maps applications tagged with locations of 250 wind projects & 300 product manufacturers in the U.S.
Immersa re-designed & much improved the on-site registration process where guests waited 40 seconds in line, as compared to the previous year with 4 hour lines.
